Scooters

I bought myself a used 2006 Piaggio Fly 150 for $3000 and I love it to death! I was looking to buy some sort of transportation and took a long time to decide between 4 or 2 wheels… With the high gas prices and the high cost of maintaining a car i went with the 2 wheels. Now i had to decide what kind of 2 wheels i wanted… motorcycle or scooter. Again i wanted to take the route where i would save the most money. I took the scooter route! Something about scooters are just awesome, and I always loved driving the scooters in the Grand Theft Auto games. For allot of people when they think scooter they think Vespa… and thats just what i was thinking to. I love the style and beauty of Vespa but i also loved the Piaggio scooters (Piaggio being the mother company of vespa)

Vespas are pretty expensive but have that classic euro look to them. Piaggio scooters share the same technology but are allot cheaper then Vespas and have a more modern look to them. Theres just so many brands of scooters out there all offering different things.

Well once you have a scooter you have a few things to be happy about…. first off you’ll pay under $10 to fill your tank of gas. If you live in the great city of Toronto you can park for free at metered parking that are controlled by the city or do what I do and “create” your own parking spot (just try to make sure you don’t block any type of traffic pedestrian or auto cause you might get a ticket).

Lastly i find the 49cc engines to lack the power to get around the city. I got a 150cc engine and I have more then enough power! my scooter has no problem getting to 90km/h and pretty sure it will max out around 110km/h.

If you have any questions about scooters just ask and ill get back to ya as soon as possible!

Painting scam

July 30, 2008 at 5:25 am (Buddha says, crime) (, , )

There has been a scam going on for years dealing with paintings. I have no idea the scale of the scam…. but I’m from Toronto and this scam has been going on in the GTA for years! The scam is usually done by foreigners since they can use their accent to their advantage and play the people for fools.

If you ever had someone come by your house wanting to sell you “original” paintings done by students of some art school overseas looking for money to fund their art program… well its all a bunch of bull shit! there are many stories they use all claiming the pictures are original and all that. the truth about the paintings is that they are mass produced and cost under $10 to buy. they sell these paintings for $100 and up.

BEWARE!!!!!
